There are many times Scouts need to take medications while attending Troop activities. Troop 169 has developed the following policies to protect the privacy of the Scouts and insure their safety. Scouts may not retain medications while at camp. All medications must be given to an Adult. Before arriving at the activity, each dose will be placed in a separate envelope. On the envelope will be the type of medication, the Scouts name, day and time to be given along with any special instructions. All envelopes will be placed in a zip lock bag with the Scouts name on it. PRN medication will be marked with the Scouts name on the original container and placed in the zip lock bag. Exceptions do exist and must be discussed with the Scoutmaster in advanced. |
