Uniform Policy Approved 8 August 2001 (Effective Spring Camporee 2002) We are proud to be members of the Boy Scouts of America and to wear the uniform. We believe wearing the Boy Scout Uniform as described below enhances the Troop.
*Scout T-Shirt is defined as the red Boy Scout Troop 169 shirt, the green Venturing Crew 2169 shirt or any other shirt purchased from the Boy Scouts (e.g. Those from S - F Camp, Order of the Arrow, Camporees, other councils, etc., etc., etc.)
Conditions and Exceptions 1. Class-B uniform will be acceptable at all of the above for new Scouts below the rank of First Class. 2. Any Scout must display Class-A uniform at the time of presentation and/or recognition at a Court of Honor for the achievement of the rank of Fist Class or above. 3. The Casual Class-B may be substituted for the Class-B uniform, as described above, in general coincidence with the time during the Assumption Parish School year when short pants are allowed for boys and also at the discretion of the Scoutmaster. 4. No Scout or Boy will be denied participation in Troop 169 activities for not owning an official uniform. Families can contact the Scoutmaster in confidence for alternate uniform purchase programs offered by The Council.
