Each year during our Assumption Lenten Challenge, our parish focuses on a local charity in need of specific, donated items and takes up weekly collections throughout the 6 weeks of Lent to assist them in their good work!
2021's Assumption Lenten Challenge was in support of the St. Patrick Center!
Located in downtown St. Louis, the St. Patrick Center provides housing, hot meals, job training, employment placement and behavioral health services to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. It is a one-stop caring center for homeless services, treating people with dignity and helping them gain independence!
Thank you so much to our Assumption Parish Family for your generous response to our 2021 Lenten Challenge! Together, we provided so many needed items, including kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, bedding, clothing for adults & children and non-perishable food! It took 2 separate trips, around 5-6 hours, and several volunteers to load up all of the donations we collected and drop them off at St. Patrick's! We are so proud to have such a generous, giving parish that looks to the needs of others as their own!
We invite you to watch the video above about the St. Patrick Center and learn more about how they are helping those in need in our community!
