At Assumption PSR, our classes strive to offer a variety of learning styles and engaging activities, without using a textbook. Every student (except sacramental years) learns the same topic at their age-appropriate level, so they can go home and discuss what they learned as a family. The topic for the lesson is based on a year-long theme that connects every lesson to the "big picture".
For 2025-2026, we will be walking through the Bible, learning the salvation history of our Catholic faith from Adam and Eve to Jesus and the Church. We will be using the God's Plan in Scripture curriculum from Ascension Press to guide our learning.
We believe that every family plays an integral part in forming disciples for the next generation and parents are the primary educators in the faith for their children. Our PSR curriculum also offers several opportunities throughout the year for parents to engage in learning and celebrating the Catholic faith with their children.
Students in grades preparing for Sacraments (typically 2nd and 7th grade) use sacramental preparation curriculum in their classrooms.
