Summary of Primary Function of this position: The Director of Youth Ministry at Assumption Catholic
Church is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Parish in providing a comprehensive youth
ministry for Middle School and High School aged youth of the parish.

• Plan and facilitate regularly scheduled (weekly/monthly) worship and social activities for the youth of the parish.
• Implement and facilitate activities in the areas of prayer, worship, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice, service, and leadership development.
• Provide mentorship and supervision for Middle-School youth minister.
• Serve as a member of the Parish Leadership and Pastoral Teams, collaborating with parish clergy and staff.
• Recruit and facilitate active involvement of young adults in a Core-Team that assists in providing

• Collaborate with peer parish youth ministers and the Archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry.
• Support overall Parish Development efforts.Facilitate limited fund raising to support Youth Ministry programs.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education,Youth Ministry, or related field and will be expected to have completed or be willing to complete formation required by the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Program and Youth Ministry Office.
