Learning Consultant for all grades
I taught adults with moderate to severe physical, educational, and emotional disabilities for 4 years at The St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Center. I have been teaching in Catholic schools since 1994. I taught various grade levels in all subject areas. After a little break in teaching following my time at The St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Center, I spent 13 years at St. Monica school teaching 4th graders religion, science, and math. The following 8 years was spent teaching 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th grades at St. Joseph-Manchester school. I taught all subjects with an area of expertise in math and science. I joined the Assumption family as the learning consultant in 2015 and have really enjoyed the students and staff.
Educational Background:
I have a bachelor degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Master's degree in Inclusion. I am certified to teach elementary students K-8, mild/moderate special education students K-12, and students with learning disabilities and behavioral disorders K-12. For grade school, I attended St. Elizabeth of Hungary and I went to Ursuline Academy for high school.
I am a mother of 2 boys and I enjoy watching my boys play soccer. I have a dog named Fluffy and 2 tortoises. In addition, I have a "Turtle Haven" in my yard for box turtles. I like to sit by my pond and watch my water turtles swim by. I like to say that I am "solar powered", energized by the sun, and would love to live in Hawaii eating Italian food.
