Classroom:
7th grade homeroom; 6th - 8th English Language Arts
Educational Experience:
I spent my first year of teaching in inner city of St. Louis, teaching 1st grade. I am very excited to begin my second year of teaching at Assumption, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English and being able to share her Catholic faith with my students!
Educational Background:
I recieved my Bachelors’ degree in elementary and secondary education at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), graduating in 2019.. My high school was Ursuline Academy and I went to grade school at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.
Personal:
My favorite book is The Shack by William P. Young and I am so excited to be reading it again with the 8th graders this year! I love Italian food (anything Italian!) and that is also my favorite travel distination. Also, fun fact - I danced all my life & almost went professional before college!
I decided to become a teacher because I believe that GOOD teaching can change the world. Teachers grow and mold the future of our world and that, to me, has always been something that seems like an incredible job. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl and worked hard to accomplish that goal!
I was most inspired in my journey to become a teacher by one of my professors in college. She taught me how to be an amazing teacher through relationships!
Hobbies:
I enjoy reading, dance and exercise, and spending time with friends and family.
