Education/ Experience
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Bilingual Education. I began my teaching career in 2003 as an elementary English teacher in Mexico. I began working for the Archdiocese of Saint Louis Schools in 2011 as a PK-8 Spanish teacher. I am planning on starting my Master's Degree in Curriculum in the Spring.
Personal
I was born in Monterrey, Mexico. I moved to Saint Louis in 2011 and married my husband Matthew. We have two children, Mateo and Luciana. I have spent half of my career in Catholic elementary schools in Monterrey and Playa del Carmen, Mexico, teaching English as a second language. I am passionate about teaching and the doors that can be opened for children who know more than one language.
During the summer months, I am fortunate enough to be able to visit my family in Mexico and for my children to experience life in another country. My husband is also an educator and we constantly discuss how to best serve our students and school.
I look forward to being a part of the Assumption community to assist in your child's growth cognitively, socially, and most importantly spiritually. While in Mexico, we provide professional development for teachers.
