If you would like to volunteer at Assumption Parish School or in programs with minors or vulnerable adults, you must be in complete compliance with the St. Louis Archdiocese Safe Environment Program before you are allowed to volunteer in any capacity. Volunteering opportunities include classroom parties, filed trips, coaching, etc.
Please go to the Safe Environment page of our website to see the requirements that need to be completed to be in compliance.
Jesus said "when I was in prison, you visited me". Our parish contributes donations towards a "Christmas feast" on Saturday, December 14 for the Catholic prisoners at the Potosi MO prison. They only receive this large meal once a year if each man attends monthly prayer services and pays a required fee. Many of these men are facing capital punishment by lethal injection.
You can help by providing any of the items listed below. Please return a piece of paper with your name, phone number, and item you are bringing as soon as possible to the Parish or School Office in an envelope marked “PRISON MINISTRY”.
Questions? Call Sue Engel at home: 314 487-9898 or cell: 314 662-2992 .
