It's summer, we get it. Each day of Totus Tuus is full of games, skits, stories, recess and more. We believe there is a difference between entertainment and real joyful fun. At Totus Tuus, fun comes from the joy of a relationship with Christ. Fun is silly, virtuous, life-giving, and memorable.
Children will be taught and learn a whole lot, but it's not school. Each lesson is shared in engaging fashion through a variety of methods. It is so important that our young people are given the great riches of our faith in a way they can grasp and incorporate into their every day life.
Routine is key for development of a child and each day of Totus Tuus follows a routine. We see so many connections to the material and missionaries when kids get a chance to process this experience through a whole day. There is amazing growth and fruits that can occur in just one week of Totus Tuus.
This summer, Assumption Parish will welcome a team of college-aged missionaries to lead a week-long summer camp for incoming (Fall 2023) Grades 1-6. The camp meets daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and includes fun and games, lessons, activities, and Mass in the middle of the day before lunch.
The missionary team leads the whole day - learning, skits, games, and activities.
This year, students enrolled in Camp Assumption will attend Totus Tuus as part of Camp, no need to register!
We are also looking for volunteers to assist by being present in the rooms with the kids, but the missionary team will lead the day!
Tuition for each child is $45; no child will ever be turned away due to inability to pay. Please contact Ms. Valerie Stringer ([email protected]) to request a scholarship.
Families are also invited to host the missionary team for dinner at your home or favorite restaurant. This is a great way to get to know the people leading this week of programming for your children. If you can provide lunch or dinner for our missionaries, be sure to sign up using the sign up genius button below.
